“The glory of God is the human being fully alive” -Irenaeus

Set alongside the River Cynrig in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Felindre Cottage provides hospitality to people seeking to explore the surrounding hills. In addition, its beautiful gardens together with the Quiet Room beside the stream offer inspiration and tranquillity to those needing space to unwind and reconnect with the deeper meaning and purposes of their lives.

Mill-Leat facilities include:

  • Bed & Breakfast for visitors exploring the Beacons and Black Mountains.
  • Creative Retreats for guests wanting to walk, read or reflect, or perhaps try their hand at painting or creative writing.
  • Spiritual Guidance for those seeking to deepen their understanding of themselves, and find purpose in their lives
  • Counselling for people coming to terms with a painful experience, such as the loss of a loved one, a marital breakdown or unrealised dream. Family therapy is also available for those looking to resolve family, couple or working relationship issues.
  • Bespoke Blessings and Liturgies for special occasions, i.e. celebrating a happy event such as a Wedding Blessing, a significant Anniversary, the Birth of a Baby or perhaps the Blessing of a New Home. Liturgies can also be devised to facilitate the coming to terms with and closure of a particularly painful experience, such as the breakdown of a close relationship, the loss of a loved one or maybe the transition to retirement
JENNY JOICE

Having trained in her twenties in both Paris and Florence as an artist, Jenny taught and exhibited her work throughout East Anglia (including the Royal Portrait Society). Whilst raising her family in the 1980’s following the breakdown of her marriage, she founded the Cambridge-based Cog-wheel Counselling agency, working in diverse multi-disciplinary settings. Her inspiration and expertise derive, not only from over thirty years experience working with all ages, cultures and contexts, but also through her profound faith and theological understanding. During the 1990’s she set up the Leadership Institute, equipping leaders with skills in England, on the African Continent as well as for the University of Wales.

Jenny particularly enjoys helping people to identify and to realise their dreams. Her contemplative, yet highly creative life-style amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Brecon Beacons enables her a key appreciation of the cultivation and maintenance of life in all its forms. In fact, the aim of Mill-Leat is to provide hospitality and facilities that promote, sustain and celebrate life in all its richness and diversity.
