Baby Blessings - A Service of Thanksgiving & Blessing for the Birth of your Baby
The arrival of a baby has always been cause for celebration in every society and culture. It also provides an opportunity to seek God’s blessing on the life of a newborn infant. Unfortunately, amidst our hectic 21st century lifestyle, such meaningful rites of passage have all but disappeared, though some still mark the happy occasion with a service of baptism in their local church. Many parents however feel it important to wait until their child reaches an age where they are old enough to decide for themselves how they might wish to express their religious beliefs.

A MEANINGFUL CELEBRATION Our Celebrating New Life Ceremony offers parents a meaningful way of marking the happy occasion of the arrival of a new family member with their family and friends. It also offers the opportunity to seek God’s blessing on the infant’s life.
THE INITIAL CONSULTATION An initial consultation with parents helps to: a. Understand and appreciate ideas and beliefs important to the family. b. Generate ideas for the kind of service that would be meaningful to them, that emerges from the conversation. c. Discuss possibilities of a suitable date and setting for the ceremony. d. Assess estimated costs involved for the Service. The cost for this initial two-hour consultation is £30.
THE CELEBRATION SERVICE On the decision to proceed with a Service of Thanksgiving & Blessing, a draft Order of Service can be drawn up, agreed and arranged.
